Leaving Do

Thank you everyone that made it last night to my send off. It was great to reminisce about old times and share stories from days gone by. It seems like St. Thomas and the coming together of the JV is burned in everyone’s memories as a particular highlight but there were also plenty of other stories of Factiva’s “derring do” as people went that extra step for either work or pleasure. The folks at Factiva are a unique group of talented people ~ keep the spirit alive, I’ll miss you all.

Add another story to the books from last night. The picture above shows David Hamm’s car which joined us for drinks last night and was still “thirsty” even after four pitchers of agua. We certainly had the waitress wondering where all the water was going. . .

  1. Ian…it’s been great working with you. I know your energy and enthusiasm will help you to succeed in your new job. Thanks for vacating your cube, as that now means that I have no direct cube mates (now if I can just get Tim to move…I’ll have complete privacy or the next closest thing in a cube world 🙂 All the best!!! Monica

  2. Congrats! I’m working on your new business cards 🙂

Can’t wait to welcome you here. Try to enjoy this transition time as much as you can. See you soon!

It’s been a pleasure working with you. Your knowledge of Factiva’s products and new media in general made you such a valuable asset to the Product group.

(Psssst. My prediction: I hear this Internet thing is really going to take off. You’re getting in on the next big thing.)

  4. Well Ian…

What can I say, you will be missed, especially on Thursdays at 11:00am ET. Make sure you at 8:00am PT every Thursday you take a moment and face east to think about your old friends at Factiva!

I had the priviledge last year to spend about 4 days in San Francisco. What a beautiful city. Diverse in culture and scenery. Anytime you need a shot of inspiration, you can simply look out the window, or at your Factiva Toolbar 🙂

Anyway, sorry a missed your bon voyage party. I am sure it was a blast. Please keep in touch and best wishes to your family.

    Nikki
