Yes, Mimi and her backpack carrier fit right in, under the seat in front of us. We took seats right at the back of the plane and she pretty much slept the whole way, (she's a quiet, lapdog type). When we were getting up to get off the plane, people around us were surprised, they didn't even know we had a dog!

Ian,

Was Mimi allowed to travel in the Finair cabin with you all or did she have to go cargo?

That is what concerns me every time I think of taking Scruffy McDoglet with me to Europe when I go for a couple of weeks. He is a 5kg/12lb dog who is a bit tall for under the seat, but much to small to go cargo for 10 hours.

I am glad that it all worked out and that Mimi could go along.

Is that recent that you can avoid quarantine? I did all the paperwork & shots for Wakame and Katsuo, but they still had to put them in for 2 weeks when moving to Tokyo. Almost a decade ago though. I'd do anything to avoid that again. Very cool you were able to take Mimi like that. It's one thing to do the trip, but the quarantine is like jail after that.
