While down in Tennessee, Uncle David showed me the controversial ad campaign that has put Ford UK and its ad agency into damage control mode.
Last weekend we travelled to Knoxville, Tennessee where we visited with my Uncle Dave, Aunt Ollie, cousins Shawn and David, and Grandmother Laura. Photos of the trip are posted here (I’ve added more for you this time Dav!). The highlight of the trip was an evening at the dirt track races.
I’m in Boston at BloggerCon II. This is following a week vacation in Cancun. The cycle of travel has picked up quite a bit as we’re then off to Tennessee to visit Uncle David and Grandmother.
I still need to post pictures from the Cancun trip and share some of the comments – Tyler’s happy to be back in a country where he can drink the water freely.
Izumi was sent an anonymous email with a link to www.albinoblacksheep.com which has got to be the funniest collection of videos and flash movies that I have seen in a long time. Tyler has already found a few favorites such as:
Dad’s personal favorite is Windows Really Good which I played for customer service as comic relief as we were writing documentation – tears were streaming down our faces.
Was out in San Francisco to visit my younger sister and her boyfriend Dav. Here we are enjoying a beautiful day out at the Marina. More photos from the trip can be found here.
We celebrated Tyler’s fifth birthday today by renting out the local gymnastics hall. This was the first time we had a big party for him and he was thrilled to have so much attention. It was also great to see how excited his friends were to see him. Nothing like ice cream and padded walls to get your Sunday morning started with a jolt! More photos posted here.
Something about living in the Northeast, turns your blood thicker or something. Driving around it seemed so warm, I rolled the window down and enjoyed the fresh air. Turned the radio up, some fast picking Bluegrass, I could smell Spring in the air. The sun was setting, the sky looked glorious, then the DJ came on and said that it was in the 40’s – brrr, roll the window back up!
Tyler’s alternative views on the world are a never ending source of wonder. This morning, when I asked if he had any dreams the night before, he said that he had his pillow on the wrong side. Pressing him for details he said that his pillow has a dream side and a no-dream side – ah yes, of course.
He also is clever with some of the words he invents. My favorite is still the sprinkler that he calls an, “upside down waterfall” but another good one is “prickles” which he coined while hiking through the woods.
